New platform set to reshape how corporate L&D programs are curated and delivered

A new national learning and development platform has launched with the ambition of rethinking how organisations source and design leadership experiences.
Captivate L&D, founded by events specialist Captivate, aims to address what many HR and L&D managers describe as one of their most persistent challenges: identifying high-impact programs that go beyond strong content to deliver meaningful engagement and retention.
While the market is saturated with workshops and facilitators, Captivate L&D has been built around a different premise: that leadership development outcomes are shaped not only by who is speaking but also by how and where the experience is delivered.
The platform curates masterclasses, leadership retreats, study tours, and recognition programs, pairing expert facilitators with carefully selected venues and structured experience design. Programs can be delivered nationally and are updated regularly, positioning the platform as an evolving resource rather than a static directory.
Russell Stephenson, director of Captivate L&D, said the launch was driven by growing demand from HR leaders and L&D managers seeking more deliberate development experiences.
“Too often, organisations select programs based on content alone,” Stephenson said. “But environment influences attention, engagement, and ultimately whether learning translates into behaviour. We built Captivate L&D to bring those elements together, the right voices, the right setting, and a clear structure designed to help learning stick.”
Captivate brings more than 15 years of experience delivering over 80 corporate events annually across conferences, awards programs, roadshows, and international study tours. The new platform applies that expertise to the L&D sector, integrating venue, content, and format into a single curated offering.
For HR and L&D managers navigating an increasingly complex development landscape, Captivate L&D aims to simplify program selection while elevating the overall experience.
The platform is now live at www.captivatelearning.com.au.
