PWG’s director, Mathew Cassidy, shared with HR Leader that the organisation “has fostered a strong culture of trust, flexibility and support for its employees through a variety of industry-leading HR initiatives”. He cited a number of areas that they’ve focused on, including “flexibility and support”, “health and wellbeing”, and “professional development”.

When PWG announced the AFR ranking, their people and culture manager, Lyn Mellsop stated: “The flexibility of our workplace, including additional annual leave days beyond statutory requirements, group activities and initiatives to establish a true community were supported by PWG embracing a hybrid working model and placing a strong emphasis on culture, as highlighted in a recent engagement survey.”

She continued: “Partners Wealth Group displayed exceptional resilience during the pandemic and exceeded expectations when accommodating for our employees and their families. We will continue to invest heavily in training and development, career progression and collaboration, providing a great working environment for our employees.”

HR Leader asked PWG for an employee’s perspective on working for the business. Senior portfolio analyst Matt Leong, a long-standing employee commented: “I have been impressed by the progression of the business over my 8 years with PWG, especially in terms of corporate culture and technological adoption. Leaders of the business promote open communication and encourage idea generation across the business, which is empowering and helps to drive a continuous improvement cycle for PWG.”

Financial advisor Lisa Taylor, who has been with the organisation for six months said: “PWG has provided me with a great working environment. It’s dynamic and positive, where I feel enthusiastic about coming into the office. I feel well-supported as an individual as well as included as part of my area and the entire company.”

At the time of the AFR ranking, Mr Cassidy stated: “Being ranked 10th for Best Places to Work from over 750 nominated organisations across Australia and New Zealand is an amazing recognition of the work done and our efforts to create a fun, supportive, collaborative and progressive workplace.”

He added: “Partners Wealth Group invests heavily in its people, has systems and processes in place to ensure continuous improvement across all aspects of our business, and aims to set the benchmark for the whole finance and wealth management industry.”
