Brand’s event empowering women in the industry grows with the help of Homely

Continuing their pledge to champion gender diversity in real estate, Homely and Ray White will partner once again to deliver the upcoming Brisbane iteration of the network’s Leading Ladies of Real Estate event.

The Queensland gathering, which will be held at Hillstone St Lucia on 9 June, is one of six that will be held by Ray White simultaneously across Australia and New Zealand, including in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, and Auckland. Formatted as a breakfast, the program is designed to promote the role of women in the industry and provide them with a community of supportive peers.

Amanda McEniry, Homely’s head of marketing, outlined why it was important for the company to once again sponsor the event, which was inaugurated last year.

“We believe in the absolute importance of empowering and retaining women in the real estate industry. We are thrilled to yet again partner with Ray White for Leading Ladies. 

“Leading Ladies is an opportunity for us to connect with each other, ensure we’re building strong networks and feel encouraged to be the vital, important, best versions of ourselves we can in this dynamic industry,” Ms McEniry said.

The panel of notable speakers will include inspiring industry figures Christine Rudolph, Jo Madden and Rebecca Cuderman, as well as author Julie Cross as a keynote speaker.

Sally Patch, Ray White Corporate’s Queensland chief agency officer, explained that the group was motivated to host the event again after witnessing its positive benefits following the first edition in November 2021.

“Last year’s Leading Ladies events were an incredible success. We received positive feedback about the opportunities to connect with like-minded women in the industry and continue building on those important relationships that carry us through our careers,” Ms Patch said.

This year’s iteration expands the program from three cities to six, after Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane kicked off the event last year.

The 2022 edition will focus particularly on:

• Attracting more women to the industry, and ways to encourage them to choose it as a first career, not just a secondary option for when they return to work after having a family
• Pathways for career development 
• Opportunities for business partnership or leadership, and supporting women to go after leadership roles

Ms Patch noted Homely’s integral role in bringing the continuing series to fruition.

“Thanks to Homely’s support we’re able to continue to deliver these initiatives that will allow us all to leverage the strength of our networks,” she said.
